Catching Up

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve written.  I’ve been horribly sick and it still seems there is no end in sight.  I am, however, finding relief at times.  My newest regiment of OTC meds is Mucinex every 4 hours exactly.  Can’t miss a dose.  My body won’t let me.  I even wake up when it’s time for a dose–how sad is that?  This also means a shower about every 8 hours since that’s the only thing that’s REALLY helping.  However, I have to say I’m so tired from not sleeping that I can barely stand in the shower so I usually end up sitting in the tub with the shower pounding my back.  This in turn is causing my ass cheeks to rebel against me.  The hard tub is just making them hurt so badly!

I am also battling some weird blisters on my tongue.  I had them.  They went away.  Now they’re back again.  Sigh.  I think I have it pegged down on what is causing it.  Halls.  Cherry fucking Halls goddamn cough drops.  I must be allergic to them?  Who knows.  Anyways…big painful blisters that start about the middle of my tongue and go all down my throat.  Fun times!  Of course, I do have to admit that my love of hot peppers and hot sauce are really really REALLY not helping matters.  On this topic, a few nights ago we got some italianbeef’s from the pizza and grinder shop down the street.  They put a lot of pepperocini’s in the box and it took every bit of my willpower to take my sandwich out and put it on a plate and walk away.  Well, wouldn’t you know I went scavanging later that night for the other half of the grinder and saw those peppers.  MmmMMMMmmmm…..I couldn’t stand it.  I’ll just nibble one I thought.  Well, after I nibbled and nibbled the only thing that remained was the seeds and the stem! LOL  And so this went on til all of the peppers were dead little carcasses.  Ah shit.  It burrrrrns! My own fault, but worth every minute of it!! Let me just also take this time to say that those were the absolute hottest pepperocini I have ever tasted in my life…I’ll have to figure out where they get them from so I can order a 50 gallon drum.

My 26th birthday is fast approaching.  Less than a week away now, the day after Mother’s Day.  I’m not so hip on transitioning out of my mid-20’s and into late 20’s so I’ve decided that 25 is as far as I’m riding this train.  I think I can hang out here for a few more years.  Maybe then I’ll be ready for late 20’s.  Surprisingly, I’m taking this birthday much better than my last two birthdays.  I had real issues when going from early 20’s to mid-20’s.  Now I’m comfy here.  Also, on my birthday we’ll be having our detailed ultrasound.  We’ll find out if we’re having a little boy or a little girl.  I’m very excited to find out.  Then, I feel like I’ll be able to bond a little bit more by giving this child a name.  Of course, we don’t have a girl’s name yet so I’ll be working on that over the next 6 days.  I want to be able to leave the ultrasound and say the baby is either a Thomas David or a [girl name here] rather than it’s a PENIS or a VAGINA.  Ya know?

  • I sympathize about the peppers. Today I had a chile relleno and it was so good I almost ordered some chili verde and jalapeno poppers to go with it…yum! I should send you some of my home made hot sauce, it will cauterize your tongue blisters!

And happy early birthday! Now you are my age…lol!
