Today, I woke up and realized that today would be a day for honest efforts on my part. Sounds fishy huh? Well, if you know me, it is fishy indeed!
I started my day and had to make an honest effort to not shut the alarm clock off and go back to sleep. I was so tired that I just kept hitting snooze. Of course, at some point, I did have to get up and get Haley ready for school and on the bus. So, I waited until the last moment possible and got her up.
Once Haley was up, I had to make a real honest effort to not yell at her. Her day at school goes so much better when our morning goes smoothly. She kept putting off getting dressed and I had to keep telling her to put up her newest Crayola Color Wonder book and glitter paint markers. It’s princesses–much more important than clean underwear. Ya know?
By the time I got her on the school bus and walked back home my stomach was feeling pretty queasy. I had to make an honest effort to eat something nutritious. This is not always easy at my house, especially the day before shopping day.
Once the eating was done, I thought a nap sounded nice. It was, indeed, heavenly! I napped for about an hour and woke to a hammer hitting the wall right by my head. Lovely. Guess what my next honest effort was? Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!! It took some kind of will power and one heck of an honest effort to not scream at the construction workers for disturbing my sleep. They are just doing their job afterall.
I was seriously lacking motivation today and I can tell you that it took an honest effort just to get up from the computer and get a shower. Then, my neighbors are dicks and decide that they are going to run their dishwasher or something while I’m in there so I get scalded, then freeze, then hot, then cold. Ridiculous. Another honest effort on my part to not go upstairs butt nekkid and tell them to fuck off. I wish they read my blog here so that I wouldn’t have to entertain the idea of walking up those stairs. Assholes.
So, Haley should be getting off of the bus pretty soon. I’m sure these won’t be my last honest efforts of the day. My day only gets interesting when she gets home!
Oh, and how is this for honest efforts? I have been trying to make a conscious decision to call the baby, Charlotte. She gave me a scare yesterday with almost no movement, so she needs a name so I can holler at her properly. She’s responded appropriately and has been kicking my cervix all day long. Thank you Charlotte, Mommy needed that!

Hello, I like your blog. I wrote a post about the effort it takes not to do things instead of doing.

Once I wrote a post about my point on Erotism X porn and many freaks looking for xporn hit it also. They get very disappointed though :).
Good luck!
